Personal Appearance and Grooming Standards

Males

        Hair - Neat, clean, Trimmed and present a well groomed
          appearance

Above the ears and around the neck: must be tapered upward ¾ inch and outwards no greater than ¾ inch.

No longer than 4 inches and no more than 2 inches in bulk.

Bulk and length must in no way interfere with the proper wear of the garrison cap.

Plaited or braided hair is unauthorized.

Only on part in the hair is authorized.

Hair must not show under the brim of any uniform cover (hat).

Side Burns - Neatly trimmed shall not extend below a point level with the middle of the ear. Not flared out and end with a clean shaven horizontal line.

Mustaches: No portion shall extend below the upper lip line.
- No portion below the horizontal line extending across the corners of the mouth.
- No more than ¼ inch beyond a vertical line draw from the corners of the mouth.
- No other facial hair is permitted.

Fingernails – Will not extend beyond the fingertips.
Earrings/Studs - Will not be worn.

Necklaces – Can be worn be must not be visible.
Rings – One per hand only.

Wristwatch/bracelet – One of each is authorized, but not ankle bracelets.

Females

         Hair – Neatly shaped, clean, and presents a well groomed
         appearance.

         Lopsided and extremely asymmetrical haircuts are not
         authorized.

         Braids if worn must be neatly secured to the head and may not
         dangle free at any point.

         - May touch, but cannot fall below lower edge of the collar.
         - No than 2 inches in bulk.
        - Bulk and length must in no way interfere with the proper wear of
        the garrison cap.
         - Hair must not show under the brim of any uniform cover (hat).

         Hair Ornaments – Must be similar to hair color.

         Cosmetics – Must Blend in with skin color.

         Lipstick – Shall be conservative

         Fingernails – Will not be excessive in length.

         Nail Polish – Shall complement the skin tone.

         Earrings/Studs – One per ear centered on the earlobe. Must be a
         small gold or silver ball.

         Necklaces – Can be worn must not be visible.

        Rings – One per hand only.

         Wristwatch/bracelet – One of each is authorized, but not ankle
        bracelets.
